Kruger revealed that the pair had actually parted ways months before they officially announced it in a group statement.
“That was something that was a long time coming,” she explained of their split.

The Bridge actress joked about her relationship status at the Cinema and Chopard Society screening of her film Disorder in NYC on Tuesday, August 9.
"Diane Kruger and Josh Jackson have decided to separate and remain friends," a rep for both stars told Us Weekly in a statement at the time.
Kruger and the Affair actor, who moved to NYC together only this past March, had their first date at an Italian restaurant in 2006. "Trust me — there are a couple of situations where it helped, for sure …
"It would be so hard to start dating again after 10 years," host Ellen De Generes said.
Jackson agreed that it's been an interesting adjustment, saying, "Things have change a little bit since last time I was single.
They would go on to explain on numerous occasions why they weren't in a rush to tie the knot. The pair were often each other's biggest supporters, even though Kruger didn't watch all of Jackson's work. [I drink] more for like doing an intimate scene, you know, like those sex scenes.
"Marriage is important for the people it's important for, but neither one of us is particularly religious, so I don't think there's any particular push. "He would rather [I] not [watch The Affair with] all the sex scenes," she told Net-a-Porter's The Edit in March. Anything that you just have to like let loose, I guess!
But the Dawson's Creek alum seems to have moved on.
On Friday night the 38-year-old Canadian was seen kissing a pretty mystery woman while in New York City.
"So, yeah, it's been quite a big change."De Generes suggested he should try a dating app or a dating website, but he wasn't sure that was realistic.
