Of the 67 counties in Alabama, 25 are partially dry or "moist" (these counties contain cities that have voted to allow alcohol sales), and 42 are completely wet.
Clay County was the last county in the state to prohibit all alcohol sales countywide, but became partially wet on March 1, 2016, when two cities in the county voted to authorize alcohol sales.
Still, many of these states have no dry communities.
Three states, Kansas, Mississippi, and Tennessee, are entirely dry by default: counties specifically must authorize the sale of alcohol in order for it to be legal and subject to state liquor control laws.
As in Rockport, alcoholic beverages may only be served to patrons who are consuming a full meal.
Dry towns in New Jersey cannot forbid the possession, consumption, or transportation of alcohol, but have the option to permit or prohibit BYOB at restaurants and social affair permits for non-profit organizations. The vast majority of entirely wet counties are in southern border regions of Texas near Mexico, or in the south central portion.Cockrell, 34, of Amory, Sentenced for Sex Trafficking of a Child 11/19/2009 – Minneapolis Man Omer Abdi Mohamed, age 24, Indicted for Providing Support to Somali Terrorists 11/20/2009 – Rutland Man Allan Edward Patrick, 58 Sentenced to 151 Months in Federal Prison for Producing Child Pornography 11/19/2009 – Kansas City Albert Vincent Perkins, 40, of Kansas City Man Pleads Guilty to Bank Robbery 11/19/2009 – Former Mc Kesson HBOC Chairman Charles W.Mc Call Convicted of Securities Fraud 11/19/2009 – Former Ukrainian Prime Minister Pavel Ivanovich Lazarenko Sentenced to 97 Months in Prison 11/20/2009 – Hartford Gang Member JULIO BONILLA, also known as “J,” 20, of Brownell Street, Hartford, Sentenced to More Than Four Years in Federal Prison for Trafficking Cocaine Cleveland Metropolitan School District Employee Bernard K.GOLDBERG, 38, Charged with Running Million “Ponzi” Scheme 11/23/2009 – Former General Manager of Texas Business John Joseph O’Shea, 57, Arrested for Role in Alleged Scheme to Bribe Officials at Mexican State-Owned Electrical Utility 11/23/2009 – Former Edmond Bookkeeper Denise Lynn Thurlow, 46, of Edmond, Oklahoma, Pleads Guilty to Embezzling from Interstate Oil and Gas Compact Commission Kenai Man Richard Leo Hadsell, Indicted by Federal Grand Jury for Identity Theft 11/20/2009 – Indiana Man William Travis Brown, 39, of Sellersburg, Ind., Sentenced to 20 Years in Prison for Transporting and Possessing Child Pornography 11/20/2009 – Aurora Man David I.Hillman, age 30, Found Guilty by Jury for His Involvement in a Scheme to Steal Over 0,000 from Great-West Insurance 11/20/2009 – Former Wyoming Highway Patrol Trooper Franklin Joseph Ryle Jr. Pleads Guilty to Misprision of Felony 11/23/2009 – Tumwater, Washington Man JAMES ROBERT BLACK, JR., a.k.a.Within the 25 "moist" counties, 57 city governments have legalized alcohol sales inside their city limits.
